I have the same problem sometimes.
I don't like to wait 10 minutes so this always works for me:

option 1
Put the power in and when it doesn't boot and hangs on the Dream Multimedia logo pull out the power and right back in.

option 2
Pull the power off and hold the standby button on the dreambox for 20 seconds. Put the power back in and it will boot.
