Hi,

I have a ubuntu 8.4 server with CCcam all runs good.

I always login firtst username & password and then as ROOT

today the first try I misstyped the password

Second try I all type good but says ''login incorrect''

If i login as ROOT direct it oke.

But what is problem? I personally think the first time that I misstype the password it has blown up.

Maybe somebody had this also and make me 100% ?

Thanks
try this

Boot into recovery mode (from the Grub prompt at the very start of booting), and then run "passwd <yourusername>". That should set your password to something new.
