What does it do?

This package will allow you to use CCcam on a windows computer with a DVB card.

Do I need something?

- A working dvb installation on windows, you should be able to view FTA channels!
- A linux based (Ubuntu 8.04 should work fine) installation on a virtual machine (VMware, qemu).
- A working CCcam setup on the virtual machine (including networking).

DVBDream -> works ok (use this for testing).
DVBViewer + SoftCSA 3.0 -> works ok (sometimes problems on channelchange).
MediaPortal + mdapifilter -> very slow (problems on channelchange).

The channelchange problems have to do with the filter system...
because of DVBViewers copy protection I can't even attach a debugger.

How to install?

The files in the windows directory should go into your mdapi plugin folder.
For DVBDream this is "C:\dvbdream\Plugins\pip00".
Open the emubox_plugin.cfg file and edit server_ip to the ip address of your virtual machine.

The files in the linux directory should go into the virtual machine where your CCcam.x86 file is located.
Open a console, go to that directory and run ./run_debug. CCcam should start...

How to use?

While the virtual machine and CCcam are running you should be able to watch the channels CCcam is able to decode.
At this time make sure only one plugin is active at the same time,
multi stream decoding is not supported in this version!

thanks for these files, its great to test again with my pc card !!!

my config:
amd 2800+
2 cards:
skystar 1(the twinhan version with ci)
or budget usb box (win tv)
ubuntu 8.04
windows xp pro sp3

CCcam is running and connected through vmware, dvbdream is running, files in pip00,
ip adress checked ok.
it doesn't work here.
when i click on plugins in dvb dream it doesn't show the plugin
prog dvb same problem.

i could mount my skystar2 card, but should that make a difference ??

Windows:

Make sure the plugin is only in pip00, and do not modify the port in the configuration file (always 10000 for now).

C:\dvbdream\Plugins\pip00\emubox_plugin.dll
C:\dvbdream\Plugins\pip00\emubox_plugin.cfg

When the plugin is loaded it should always show up in the plugin menu. And when you open the PID Statistics on the Demultiplexer Statistics tab you should see a MDAPI - emubox_plugin filter on the pmt pid when you change channel.

Linux on virtual machine:

You need to use the run script, not run CCcam.x86 directly.

In the CCcam directory you should have these files:

i just set up on a different pc (without dvb-s card)

dvbdream and the plugin, when i click on plugins it shows it....

must be something wrong in my pc, maybe there are loaded some
*.ax files or something different.

is it nessescary to run cccam on the same pc as dvbdream ?

if not, i could try and install the ss2 on the pc wich shows the plugin

and test there.

if yes, i first have to install vmware and ubuntu on it.

hi ,

i try to run "run_debug" but get always error:

[root@server bin]# ./run_debug
./CCcam.x86: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found (required by ./emubox_interceptor.so)
