Mbox over LAN problem - 27-August-2009, 15:45

Hello everybody, I have a perfectly working windows/mbox setting, but I moved the mbox to another linux pc that is 24/7 online.

My problem is that the plugin i am using with ss2/dvbdream is gboxplugin.dll that only works on the localhost and does not support sending ecm over LAN.

Is there any solution for my problem, because now there is no connection between my Mbox and DVB Dream PC.

Please Help..

PS. I heard about ACAMD, can it be used and how?

thanks a lot

Hey, it is pretty simple. I assume that you already have mbox on your pc with some peers in ur cwshare.cfg . Let's say you Mbox files are in C:/mbox.
Go to the directory and open the file called mbox.cfg, in it look for this part:

B: { 1 }

//B: { 1 } // for local watching over DVB

//B: { x IP_listen IP_send }
//x=0 -> disable local UDP ports 8004-80xx ,this ports are used with DVB cards and gbox plugin (Windows and Linux)
//x=1 -> enable
//IP_listen -> on what IP to wait for PMT and ECMs
//IP_send -> on what IP to send DCW
//default disabled

make sure it is exaclty as stated above (B: { 1 }) the "1" before enables the connection

save your changes if you did any.

Now use the attached file, extract all its components into C:/Program Files/Dvbdream/plugins/pip00
the two extracted files are gboxplugin.dll and gboxplugin.ini

now open gboxplugin.ini using notepad or something, and make sure it contains: Active=1
