It's a small vdr ebuild overlay for gentoo. You unpack it into /usr/local/portage and it will download and compile vdr with card sharing support, which includes hooks into gbox. VDR is a DVB server, which allows streaming and viewing like a Dreambox on a linux based PC, but it's much more powerful. You can add as many DVB cards as you have available slots and even use Hauppage MVP's to act as set top boxes with vompserver.
