Are you running SP1?

I use the same files with a friend and his work ok. He has no SP1.

The softCSA version in the files given for download is 2.x
I read somewhare that there is version 3.x
Maybe this will solve our problem

Also nod32 does report a virus but it is just a false positive.

Release the file from quarantine and use normally

I finally got it!!!

The answer is to install DVDviewer in the root dir ie c:\DVDViewer\

this way you bypass some stupid security checks vista does on the apps that are installed in the Program files dir.

thanks for that tutorial. I get it working with gbox 2.1b and gboxplugin 0.6.

But I couldn't make my setup work with newer Versions of the gboxplugin.dll (Version 1.0 und 1.1).

If i change the gboxplugin.dll only , the plugin is available under the "Plugins" Menue entry in dvbviewer and I can open the about Box. But gbox doesn't seem to receive any requests from DVBViewer/Gboxplugin for receiving the CW's. However that works with gboxplugin Version 0.6.

However I have serveral problems with Version 0.6.

Many times DVBViewer eats up 100% CPU Usage and I have to kill the process.

I wanted to chang the gboxplugin to see if the newer versions work smoother but couldn't make the new versions work eventhough it works with version 0.6 and i only swaped the gboxplugin.dll

Anyone can Help and knows what the problem is?

Does this tutorial work for all versions of DVBViewer or just version 3.9.1.0?

Are you sure you disabled the firewall and/or virusscanner? Because, newer versions from 0.8 and higher use the local Gbox instance. So you must start Gbox prior on your system before starting Gbox.

I know if works 100%, I'm been using it for months now. It even works with the newer beta's of DVB Viewer Pro. And possibly older versions to!

I have no firewall or Antivirus Installed on my system.

The WIndows firewall is disabled. As I said Version 0.6 works without any problems.

What do you mean with "So you must start Gbox prior on your system before starting Gbox."? I tryed both starting gbox first and launching DVBViewer afterwards and viceversa. Nothing helps.

Gbox must run one the same system which you want to start DVB Viewer! Then in combination with Gboxplugin 0.8 or higher you can watch encrypted channels through Gbox.

Gboxplugin 0.6 is infact a Gbox instance on itself and only requires a cwshare.cfg. Version from 0.8 and higher use a local running Gbox instance and connect to localhost ports.

So, gboxx86.exe must run if you want to use Gboxplugin 0.8 and higher. Previous versions use their own cwshare and gbox connection.

Thats exactly what i am doing.

I'm not talking about the "Red Gbox" Plugin 0.6.

I'm talking about the version 0.6 that requires Gbox control to be running.

Like I said in my firs post. If I use the 0.6 Version, i can see inside Gboxcontrol, that Requests are made by the plugin to receive the CW's. But with newer plugin Versions this does not work.

The Gbox instance is running on the same PC. It works fine with the old Plugin. But not with the new ones.

Please help to solve this.

Could you try something?

Delete gboxplugin.ini from DVBViewer\MDPLugins. It could be that old settings from old versions has problems with the new versions.
