Humax is able to work as a cs client on some different protocols ( cccam, newcamd, gbox and some other), here in this board are some info about this, but is not able to work as server.

To do that is important that decoder is working using toh-hot firmwares, this because with original firm. can't work with SSSP protocol.

If decoder is using toh-hot firmware can work as cs client connected to a PC true rs232.

Greetings

Thanks mate. Then, i think, its not good solution for 5400 for working under client mode because PC of my friend must be turned on continually. 5400 is no more popular like before few years, right?

Linkey can allow you to apply SSSP without use PC...........see here, anyway there are other hardware that can do it, i speack of this because i buyed it and i have experiences, i payed it about 60.

About humax i can tell you that is not an old decoder, his tuner and general immages on TV are better than many other modern decoders, this is why i continue to use it.

Greetings

S2E Linkey looks like very useful. Tell me, in this case, who has IP address: Humax or this small box. And, does S2E work without any little break.

When you connect Linkey to your lan you can enter in his pamameters using IE or others browser, here you will put your server details; it have his IP addres (static or dhcp) and in more you can check how much cards you receive, which cards and also his distances.

I had many sleppless nights to arrived at this point (you have to study and test many times on various humax firmwares and pmct), but now i'm happy of it because seems to be stable and without breack when ecm's times and internet connection are good; in cs as you know there are many things that can cause breacks or freezes, aniway in general i can assure that linkey is working good on my humax, off course i have not checked all providers on all satellites.

I have buy it because a friends give me humax for free and with only 60 i had a cccam client decoder with lan connection; unfartly i have not many money availables and in more i love study and learn on sat world; i don't think that this hobbie is a simple question to watch for free.
