Hello

I have a problem with my router/internet. ADSL line keeps disconnecting and reconnecting about every 15 minutes so i am not sure whether it's a router problem or a line/internet problem

Anyway, you may see me offline at various times throughout the day so be patient please until i can find out what is causing the problem

Thanks

Check your filters, make sure you don't have an extension lead too long and the router is too far away from the master socket. Have you been upgraded to ADSL 2 and your line can't cope with it? Try manually setting your modem to ADSL 1 and see if it helps.

(Just my experience on fixing adsl connections for clients.)

Gentoo Linux - Nexus-s, Linux VDR - 2 x ATSC HD cards, Hauppauge PVR 500 for analog US Cable, 3 x Hauppauge MVP's running Vomp on VDR, UK TV on IPTV.

Not a single sat dish at the moment. :-(

@marvin

Thanks for your suggestions

I was upgraded to adsl2 about 4 months ago and have had no problems until now. Router is connected to master socket via a 1m wire so it's not far away from the master socket

I changed this connection wire and also changed the filter

I changed the MTU value of the router from 1500 to 1450 which seemed to have solved the problem.....so i thought anyway. The router worked fine for 14 hours without any disconnection, but now it has happened again!!

@all my peers

The problem still persists intermitently, so be patient please
