Switching from Irdeto to Nagra - 23-September-2013, 20:21

Now it is Time to announce that i cange the Operation Mode from my S02 SKY.DE Card from Irdeto Mode (CAID1702) to Nagra Mode (1833). That means that your cccam is not able to get ECMs from my local Card now. Only from Hop2 you get ECMs! maybe ! Freezers may occur!
To prevent that you have to switch over to OSCAM to.
If you need help (only my mates) PM me!
If you already use OSCAM, then delete your Betatunnel then it will start decoding again over my local Card.

Then CCcam is near Dead!

Things i figurered out:

The newest Oscam 1.20 versions from SVN are not the best choice if you need a stable server. They crashes without any messages in Syslog or Verbose Output.

Best working version for me is oscam 1.20 svn 8777. Now OSCAM is now working for 8 hours without crash.
But you have to compile it by your self. Because the ready to download binary svn 8777 on OSCAM Download server are currupted.

also you can use the last stable 1.10 version, but you also have to compile libusb and oscam by your self. here is the issue, that oscam 1.10 stable is not able to read my S02 Card in nagra mode.

so i use version 1.20 unstable SVN8777 with a little watchdog script that checks every minute that oscam is up and running. If it not runs, it sends me a e-mail notification and restart the oscam service.
so the machine is pretty stable.
the clients have no freezers at all.

but remember i not use cacheex and other goodies.

But the Raspberry is little Masterpice of Hardware! With the XBMC fork and a Extenal HDD or NAS-Server it becomes to the best and cheapest Media Player Worldwide!
AppleTV is now obsolete, when you can live without DRM!
