I've changed ISP today (hopefully to provide a better guaranteed service at peak times) and it's taken quite some time for the switch over (most of the day).

I'm back up now but see that my CCCAM shares are all RED and hopefully not all of you have canned me in 24 hours of outage! It also looks like I have no clients. I am sending this message via the same ethernet router so it can't be all bad..

I'm trying to work out what it is as I all I think I have changed is my username & password plus some DNS servers... If you have any ideas while I work on the problem please PM me. Many thanks

Please bear with me.

In my previous configuration I had used a tool to find the fastest DNS Servers and optimised my router configuration accordingly. When I switched to the new ISP I found that although I could 'connect' to their service, that those previous fast DNS servers were invalid for the new ISP and prevented browser sessions. Maybe they were 'private' ISP-owned DNS servers???

After reading across lots of forums, much testing and many resets I discovered that I had hard-coded those previously fast (but now invalid) DNS servers into the static network config!

I changed those to OpenDNS (not necessarily ISP defaults but openly accessible) and BINGO! All my shares are back. Tomorrow I'll re-run the DNS Server hunt and update again.

So the morale of my story is when you change ISP and have customised your router config make sure you undertake the same changes in the config of your Dreambox. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.
