Dear all,

For some years already for some, recently for others, you have been connected to my CCcam server. Till last January it all ran smoothly with almost no downtime.

Since January Canal Digitaal NL has imposed some anti-sharing measures. Some of this discomfort could be solved with the latest CCcam 2.3.0. What also did happen the traffic generated because of all the queue requests, it resulted many times in a non-responsive CCcam. When noticed, it all was rebooted and all running fine again. Some days could mean that you saw my server offline for long a long time or did not see any local cards.

This last week hours and hours were spent to find a solution. That resulted in setting up Linux and CCcam on 4 different combinations, Ubuntu or Debian with different hardware. No difference in performance was noticed. Since last night I was able through a simple script, which checks the non-responsiveness of CCcam and reboot if necessary, I can finally say all is stable again. It still does get non-responsive sometimes, but due to the script the downtime is reduced to less than a minute after a non-responsive situation.

Now it could be that in the meantime you have disconnected me from your boxes. Please, in that case, send me a PM or email (you still have it) stating you understand the situation and are willing to reconnect again. Hopefully in due time we will have a more capable CCcam version for Canal Digital NL that makes this issue obsolete.

Anyway, thanks for your understanding and happy sharing. And do not forget to contact me
