Troep cardserver down - 23-November-2010, 18:59

All my three cardsharing servers are currently down. The main virtual server has died. There is no backup server present at this time.

I'm going to rebuild a new virtual server tonight. And hopefully i'll be able to restore the Sat and Cable server.

Update 23:33: New virtual server is installed. But I need Suse Linux Enterprise. A complete DVD is being dropped of at my workspace tomorrow. So right now everything is on hold until tomorrow. Because my VPN server was running on the same server I can't continue working on it during the day. I'm very sorry so all my peers that are reading this hold on i'm fixing this. Currently the former backup server was shipped to France for emergency repear of a datacentre (and yes work is at number one) Otherwise I'll have it finished tonight.

I'm also using this bad downtime to install a new firewall, it appears that there is some traffic that is screwing up my cable cardserver once in a while. So I need a good IP firewall on my house, and to restore very secured VPN capabilities, some beginning economy's are not having that secure of an internet connection. Anyway. This week i'm currently close to my home so I can fix everything and give that trusted uptime everybody loves.

I'll keep everybody informed of the progress.

Update 19:12: CCcam server number 2 (Cable) is up and running. Now working on CCcam server number 1 (SAT).

(24-November-2010 20:50)
Update 20:38: Right now server 1 and server 2 are back online running on my new virtual server

Sorry for all my digitenne peers, but that server is not coming back online due to not enough interest. But you will get a PM offcourse.

Background info on the "glitch"
Old server was running vmware server on Debian. The OS decided to stop working. Why? You tell me. No security issue just a linux system that thinks it's okay to just stop working.

Now I got everything running on a MS Virtual server. And i'm happy. Backup functionality is being build in at the moment. Maybe tonight there will be some downtime the server is now in my office at home. But needs to move to the upper floor of my house.

Everybody thanks for having patience. If you have any problems connecting or what so ever let me know!

Update: 21:04: The cable server has an cardreader connected but that isn't visible. Working on it may cause some little downtime.
