Question 7020si Beginner Help - 01-November-2008, 22:42

I am looking to purchase a Dreambox 7020 si with a motorised Dish. I intend to use the "Card Sharing " facilities, but I am completely new to this and I was wondering:...

1.Is the 7020 si a good buy?
2.Will any Diseqc 1.2 dish work with it ?
3.Do I need some sort of card in the machine? ie sky?
4.Is the 7020 si easy to program with the software that you need?
5.What software do I need?
6.What is Ccam?
7.Is there any more hardware bits that I need to purchase? ie cables...

and finally....(for the moment)
8.I's there anything else I need to know.or should be asking?

thankyou in advance for your help.

5. Flashget, you can flash 7020 over network. You can use couple ow ways to put new image: USB stick, HDD (if you put one inside), CF card and flash memory.
6. CCcam is Emulator/Cardserver you use to decrypt scrambled channels via keys or local/virtual cards.

Totally agree with Smurfer. If You don't need HD channels, the 7020 is the best and most stable box You can get for cardsharing. Cardreaders working very well and the box is very well supported with software and knowledge on the boards.
