Looking at the like Dabs posted, the foot print isn't over the UK, Given I live in the UK does this mean that I can't get any channels off that sat or because it has KU beams on 21e I should be able to get channels??

Sorry if this has been asked before, im learning just a little slow tonight :)

If your located in the uk with 1m dish then 42e,39e,28.2e,23.5e,19.2e,16e,13e,10e,9e,7e,4.8e,1 w,30w all are useful. Unless you are feed hunting or require obscure channels then i wouldnt worry about any of the others.

Dabs, thanks for that list it will be a great help as the image i used came with a list of all of the Sat's (i think) and knowing which ones to scan and not to scan is a great time saver, allthough I do now have that link that shows me the foot print.

Many Thanks :)

No need to scan, download channel lists from the server on the image. Install these onto your receiver and all the hard work is done for you. Check out Lyngsat or flysat, these give all sats info including all footprints and lots more.

Dabs,

I would love to not have to scan but I don't follow what you mean when you say "download channel lists from the server on the image", i can't see anywhere to download a channel list using the menu's on the Receiver.
