Problem H/V Frequencies
First I would like to state I looked for the right place to put this and this looked the right place.
If not than please let a mod/admin move it to the right place. I got a DM500S with Inverto Silvertech Single Universal 0,2db LNB's with a 4 meter sat cable which the print states: "CO 12A DIGITAL SAT (CLASS A) 16VAtC NFC90132 BIEFFE Italy 04/05 211" The problem is that I cant receive both H and V frequencies at the same time. Having a LNB in the normal positition (with and without a switch connected) I only get the V frequencies. To get H frequencies I have to turn the LNB 90 degrees. The f-connectors are already a few times newly attached.. The cable is made as short as possible... What is the problem? -dreambox -LNB's -Cable |
have you tried changing the LNB ?
can you get both high and low bands? |
I got 4 the same LNB's all the same problem.
Who what is the high/low band? Could you state a few channels on 19.2 which are high/low? I tried meanwhile also "increased voltage" in the LNB setup. LOF/H on 10600 (original setting), 10750 and 11250, but no changes whatsoever |
low band channels
10832H 22000 5/6 Bibel TV 10979V 22000 5/6 TV Canaria Digital + High Band 12574H 22000 5/6 BVN TV 12610V 22000 5/6 Poseidon promo Do you have a multimeter ? if yes you can test the output of the dreambox You should be looking for between 13 and 14 volts and 16.5 to 19 volts depending on the channel selected . Hope that helps |
low band channels
10832H 22000 5/6 Bibel TV no, SNR 2.6db 10979V 22000 5/6 TV Canaria Digital + Cant find this channel, but on manual transponder search I got these SNR 17.1db Services 15 High Band 12574H 22000 5/6 BVN TV no, SNR 2.6db 12610V 22000 5/6 Poseidon promo Cant find this channel, but on manual transponder search I got these SNR 15.8db Services 13 Do you have a multimeter ? Not yet ;) |
Not good news
without a multimeter i would say its your box. do you have another box you could try ? |
After long searching I found a multimeter.
But where and under what conditions do I need to messure. Pc's I can assemble with my eyes closed, but a multimeter scares me :P |
make a short lead with a F connector at one end and on the other bare the cable so that you have a 1cm stinger and 1 cm of braid.
Now insert this into the dreambox on the LNB INPUT switch to the above mentioned channels and test the voltage....report back your results. Regards Skyman114 |
Any joy on those reading yet ?
