Dont know if anyone has noticed but on all sky movie channels they have reduced the resolution from 720x576 to 544x576.

Obviously this is to cram more channels AND to make the HD channels look better and also to get more people to subscribe to HD package.

sky sports channels are currently 704x576 ....expect this to go 544x576 soon

When not using your Satellite receiver, always select a FTA channel. This will save bandwidth :)

humm, haven't noticed that,
i'm not sure that is the case since SD resolution IS 704576 or 720576
personally i've not noticed any degradation in quality

and i don't think they can change the resolution without authorisation of the media provider (apart of sky's own channels), so we're safe with all the freesat and non sky channels (i.e mtv, disney...etc)
