Thumbs up Close a topic when problem is solved. - 19-August-2007, 23:07

Hi,

i think its a good idea to make a option to lock a topic.
as soon as a poblem is solved the maker of the topic
should be able to close the topic so no more text could be typed in
that box.

that keeps the board more clean, and some people wont reply for nothing, becouse the topic starter will never ever read it when i already fixed it.

2x d500s and one dedicated linux server running 24/7 with power backup.

Giving the lock right to users would not be a great option i think.
It happens quite a few times people write they solved the problem but forget to report how exactly they solved it. If they lock the topic, others having the same problem cannot ask for the solution anymore. (just my 2 cents though)

Or that in time an other (better) solution is found for the original problem and that solution than can be added to the threath.

If you feel the need use the button.

It is better to give than to take, to share is divine..........
