Hi to all,

Glad to be part of this forum. The nature of this forum is entirely new to me but I am a great believer of getting the most out every pice of kit I own, so I am looking for some kind sole to give me a kick start as I have no idae what to do!

Anyway, Satellite TV is the newest format for viewing and listening that I have set up. I have a 90cm motorized dish with the Technomate 2200 motor about to be changed for a Jaeger 36v type. My receivers are a Protek 9600 (starting to regret that one!), a Technomate 6900HD, and a Technomate 9100super. It's what I've heard you can do with the latter that has really caught my interest.

Other kit on the video side is a Panasonic DVD recorder, a V+ box, a Sony PS3 and a Pioneer laserdisc player (yes, I do still use one of those and yes they are still pretty good!). These are hooked up through a Sony 40" Bravia TV. The audio is covered by Yamaha seperates, including a minidisc recorder and a Sony DAT machine. For nostalgia I also still use my Revox B77 open reel deck. There is also a VHS recorder under 3 inches of dust somewhere!

I think I've waffled on enough, hope I can take my TM9100 to the next level.

Cheers,

Richard.

Well Mr richardsymes what a great introduction (others please take note)
You appear to have collected some nice equipment there. (Not so sure about the protek).
The TM9100 is a fine beast if a little fiddly, but once set will serve you well.
Enjoy your time on the forum and please take time to read the rules. Regards Skyman

Thanks Skyman,

I suppose the Protek was not the best choice but we all grow stronger from our experiences! The 9100 is now my way forward.

Cheers,

Richard.
