Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm new to pretty much everything satellite. I've has a dreambox 500c in the past put would like to get into satellites and cs. I've read up quite a bit through the forum and the knowledge and help on here is fantastic. I've read the rules and i hope i'm not breaking any of them!

My plan is to purchase a technomate TM500 or TM600. I think I'll go with the TM600 for the PVR capabilities but I'm still a little unsure of what I can achieve and don't want to through money at something thats wasted.

I was planning to start with my existing UK Sly dish and get used to the whole cs idea and then eventually either move on to a new, larger fixed dish with 2 or 3 LNBs or a motorised dish.

My only concern is that if I have nothing to offer (expect a reliable 24/7 peer :s).....people may not want to cs with me. particually if at first I'm only really interested in one certain type of package?

Please could anyone shed some light on this concern and just let me know its nothing to worry about :)
