Hi all,

I signed up for this forum about a month ago but haven't really had a chance to check it out, anyway I finally ordered my DM800 and am waiting for it to be delivered today! I have a lot of figuring out to do, and hope that this place will be helpful.

I have a regular dish on the roof, as well as a somewhat defunct motorised 1m dish in the garden, connected to an Echostar 3600AD box. I haven't used this setup for a long time, as I was mostly using it for the Saturday football, and after numerous probs with cams/receiver etc I settled for watching streams. My echo receiver died about 18 months ago, then when I finally got it repaired early this year (just a minor problem apparently), the motor on my dish died on me almost immediately. I'm supposed to have someone coming out this week to look at my dish setup, and depending on his recommendations I'll either just get it fixed to a certain position (either 19.2 or 13e), get it fixed with a second arm and lnb (though this will involve wiring a second lnb all the way at the end of the garden), or possibly even get a new motor setup for it. If it comes to it though I might even get rid of the big dish and get a 60cm dish with 2 lnbs and a diseqc switch to save some cash.

Feeling a bit daunted by it all but looking forward to that HD footy! :D
