Hello everyone.

I've spent the last 18 months building my little HTPC for my family and it's FINALLY got to the stage where I'm almost happy with it! Just in time for my cable supplier to move to N3 and move the goalposts, so I'm now heading into the world of cardsharing as, although I have no problem paying for channels, I do object to having to use the cable companies substandard equipment.

Anway, my setup for my HTPC:

AMD 4850e (2.5GHz dual core designed for low power consumption)
Gigabyte MA-GA78GM-S2H (integrated HD3200 for video playback)
1 x 500GB WD HDD (split into system and movies)
1 x 1TB Samsung F1 HDD (Recorded TV)
LG GGC-H20L (read BluRay, HDDVD, DVD, CD, write CD & DVD)
Creative 7.1 surround sound
Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD500 (twin DVB-T receiver)
2 x FloppyDTV C/CI (for DVB-C receiving with 2 Zeta Blue CAMs I've flashed to Joker 0.79 and Funcard 5's in)
Windows 7 Home Premium running Media Center 24/7

I've been running Vista with the TV Pack, which was nice but very unreliable. Since going to W7 (at RC1 stage) it's finally been stable enough to enjoy and I've been able to add the dual freeview tuner so we can watch a channel while recording 3 others on the channels we use the most.

Anyway, local cable provider is now in the process of moving to N3 cards so I'm here to learn and see if there's any way I can use the shiny N3 card that will be posted to me when my area moves over in place of the 2 Zeta/Funcard combis I'm currently using. Still, that's the great thing about IT - you never stop learning!

Enough ranting - on the with learning! :)
