Hi all,

I had a Force 1122S that I used in the old days for Viasat Norway and CD NL (irdeto). Then both providers changed their encryption system, and had to settle with a cheap and cheerful "free" NDS receiver for Viasat. (STRONG 6750). Since I had my home brewed cards programmed for CD NL, that option went up in smoke as well, and the only way to watch CD NL was by getting a subscription.

I have 2 locals now: Viasat Norway and CD NL. For CD NL I purchased a MatrixCam Reborn (Z-CAS) so I could use it in my 1122S. But for one reason or an other it started freezing, ending up with a blue screen. Only pulling the plug is the only way to restart it. This happens both with and without a CAM in place. I wonder if this is one of these boxes that freezes if the signal jumps down to zero...? Anyway, I decided that is was time for something new, and since we have 5 kid in the house that always are fighting for the right channel to watch, my interest went out to solutions like LinuxMCE, Reelbox or Dianemo (LinuxMCE with a twist + Pluto Home Automation). Nice toys for daddy to play with.

I consulted my finances, and realized that I needed to save a little first. But we needed to watch TV without the fights :-). So I started investigating Dreambox and the CS features. After doing some seaching on the net, I stumbled on a used MagicBox 7300. Made in Korea, but apparently only sold in Sweden for a very limited time. Pre-programmed to connect to a commercial server. His story didn't last long, since he got busted from the police (lol)!

The guy that bought it didn't had any channels accessible to watch anymore, so he wanted to sell it to me for a fair price. And I said yes please! Time will show f this was a good investment. Does anybody knows this box? A lot is written on the swedish forum, but that is all there is about it on the internet.

My goals now are: to get it working with my 2 locals, to share it to another TV by using a DB500S, find a way to stream channels to a PC, and of course plunge in the exciting world of eurocardsharing ;-). I never new this was possible!

Daddy has just got him selv a brand new hobby, YES! Even if don't have the time to watch TV that often.

That's it for my introduction. I'll be back.
