Argentina and Bolivia cooperate for DTT expansion

The governments of Argentina and Bolivia have signed an agreement for the exchange of audiovisual productions of educational and cultural content, and committed to joint development of public policy actions in social inclusion and telecommunications in the DTT arena.
After the recent visit of the Federal Council of Public TV Argentina to Bolivia, both parties signed a letter of intent to “lead digital television in South America.”
The Argentinean delegation revealed the country's experience in implementing DTT and its later participation in the implementation of digital TV in Venezuela. Hugo de Vido, secretary of the Federal Council for Science and Technology of Argentina, said: "Two years ago, in Argentina, we implemented the digital television system, which currently has 70 stations and 90% rural.”
