Backdoor for adult content on smart TVs
By Robert Briel

Adult channels that gain no direct access to smart TV sets are using a backdoor to reach viewers.
Viewers now have the chance to access adult apps through the Woomi app for smart TVs. Woomi is our non adult app that offers TV viewers the ability to watch a wide range of videos covering sports, news, short and long film and music.

The app also features an adult button in the top left hand corner that allows customers through Woomi to access Forno. Once a customer clicks this Forno button they go through some age verification before gaining access.

At ANGA Cable, Woomis parent company MT Digital Media, signed an agreement with Foxxum, Matthew Rahman, marketing director of MT Digital Media, on the partnership between the two companies: We are delighted to have found a fantastic partner in Foxxum, which offers both an attractive platform for Woomi and access to a multiplicity of device brands in the rapidly growing European smart TV market.

Among the non adult content that can be found within the woomi app are: Bike Radar and Cycling News, covering all matters related to cycling in and around Europe; German and European news from Deutsche Welle, available in English and German.

Movies and movie news from Netzkino, Renderyard, Openfilm and Filmtrailer. Documentaries and shows about sailing provided by Sail TV and The Sailing Channel and tech news from T3 and Techradar.
Thanks to its integrated Forno app, woomi currently offers over 100,000 videos in 200 categories. They claim to have the worlds largest erotica offering for smart TV.

Users must first register for this service and verify their age via a credit card or further country-specific age verification systems. A personal user ID and a secret PIN must also be entered, which means that minors are unable to access this area.
The Woomi service is available on TechniSat connected TV devices and a number of other brands.
