Dolby offers 3D glasses for kids
By Chris Forrester

Dolby Labs, already a significant provider of 3D specs for cinema use, is introducing a range of 3D glasses for younger, smaller heads. Dolby has linked with 3M to supply multilayer, scratch-resistant, optical film lenses, so that the glasses provide the same lightweight, reusable design as the adult model, but are optimized to fit the smaller head sizes of children.

Dolbys specs are passive, polarized versions, needing no batteries and are thus relatively inexpensive. Dolby says theyll retail for about $12 and they come in a fun, kid-friendly green and are equipped with Sensormatic and RFID tags to help prevent theft from cinemas.
