More kids to view KidsCo
KidsCo, the children’s channel from a consortium led by NBC-Universal, is expanding – and how. It has signed deals in 5 new territories with Multichoice, SiOL TV, DDish TV as well as extending its portfolio with Germany’s KabelBW.
KidsCo is backed by NBC-Universal, Cookie Jar Group and Corus Entertainment, and the new distribution deals cover Angola, Belgium, Mongolia, Mozambique and Slovenia. These new territories add to the momentum behind the channel, says KidsCo, which has also announced that it has recently signed a deal with German cable TV operator, Kabel BW. The new deals will see key KidsCo being made available in over 500,000 more homes, solidifying its position as the fourth global children’s television network.
”KidsCo programming includes shows such as The Wiggles, Paddington, Corduroy, Heathcliff plus original content including Jass Time!, with three programming zones: preschool, kids 6-10 and family. All zones feature animated and live action content plus family movies, which are designed to fit modern audience availability and lifestyle. KidsCo has expanded quickly across Europe, providing safe, age-appropriate and educational programming to kids everywhere, enabling kids to learn through entertainment,” says a release.
