ANGA CABLE 2009 – COLOGNE. BSkyB has licensed the StormTest set-top box testing product from S3.
The test and analysis system is designed to reduce the amount of time spent testing boxes.
The StormTest product is capable of supporting remote testing, on-site testing and field-testing from early field tests through to full deployments.
“Sky is committed to finding innovative ways to improve our current operational methodologies and of driving even more value from our product development activity.
S3’s StormTest was the automated testing solution which best met our needs and we chose the product predominantly for its ease of use, extensibility and ability to seamlessly integrate with our existing test environment,” said John Geraghty, head of conditional access services, BSkyB.
S3 has also announced the signature of conditional access provider Irdeto for the StormTest product.
