KidsCo, the international children’s channel owned by NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Group and Corus Entertainment Inc., has today announced it is expanding its presence in Belgium with cable operator Telenet.
The agreement will bring the KidsCo channel with programming such as The Wiggles, Corduroy, Heathcliff, as well as original content like Jass Time! to children in Brussels. All shows will be broadcast in French and Telenet will begin airing KidsCo’s programming from Tuesday, September 8 as part of its basic package.
Paul Israel, Vice-President Media Partnerships Telenet, in a statement: “KidsCo is an excellent addition to our current offering. In order to satisfy our French speaking clients in Brussels, we have added the best channels. For our youngest viewers, KidsCo was a perfect choice – offering strong educational content which is very important to children and parents alike. We are very happy to add KidsCo to our digital basic offer.”
The children’s channel provides three programming zones: preschool, kids 6-10 and family. Each zone features animated and live-action content plus family movies
