Measat to Distrubute Food Network HD in Asia-Pacific

Measat Satellite Systems signed an HD channel capacity deal to distribute the Food Network HD channel accross the Asia-Pacific region, the operator announced Nov. 5.
The operator will distribute Food Network, lifestyle network, owned and operated by Scripps Networks Interactive, via the Measat-3a satellite.
“Given the remarkable success of the Food Network brand in the United States, it is natural to bring this popular genre to Asia where food is such an important part of culture and tradition. We are pleased to introduce the best of Food Network’s talent and content, along with original programming produced in the region, to this new part of the globe,” said Greg Moyer, president of Scripps Networks, in a statement.
