Meheut entrusted with Vivendis media and content study

Pascale Paoli-Lebailly | 21-08-2012

French Media and Telecom giant Vivendi is reviewing its global group strategy in the coming months with key appointments within the telecom and mediadivisions.

The new taskforce that has been set up to drive Vivendis future boundaries follows the departures of SFRs CEO Franck Esser in March and Vivendis chief executive Jean-Bernard Levy in June.

Vivendis Supervisory Board has thus entrusted Bertrand Meheut, chairman of the management board of Canal+ Group and Canal+ France, with a strategic study regarding the development of media and content. Meheut is due to carry out this task in addition to his current duties.

Jean-Yves Charlier has been appointed senior executive VP in charge of Telecoms Activities. Currently CEO of worldwide interactive learning company Promethean, he will also participate in the groups strategic review.

Vivendis supervisory board has also confirmed that the groups management board is composed of Jean-Franois Dubos, chairman, and Philippe Capron, chief financial officer.

Stphane Roussel has been confirmed as chairman and CEO of SFR. Frdric Crpin, senior VP, head of the Legal Department, has been appointed secretary of Vivendis supervisory and management boards. Mathieu Peycer, VP, Human Resources, has been promoted to executive vice president, Human Resources.
