BBC spends £400,000 on advice
The BBC has spent around £400,000, over a period of ten months, on advice and consultations on the new Project Canvas platform.
According to a report in the Telegraph, information has been obtained under the Freedom of Information Act on the cost of Project canvas so far.
It seems that out of the £6 million five-year budget, the BBC has spent around £1 million so far and £400,000 of that figure went on consultations on whether the BBC should be going ahead with the project or not.
Project Canvas is a collaboration between the BBC, ITV, BT and Five, where content from the channels are provided over the internet, but this project’s future, as with its predecessor Project Kangaroo, is subject to the decision of the competition commission.
