Lifetime Television's comedy Drop Dead Diva continues to build, scoring series marks with a pair of key demos.
Drop Dead Diva, starring Brooke Elliott, notched a 25% gain to a 2.0 rating among women 18 to 49 and a 28% advance to a 2.3 mark with women 25 to 54 on Aug. 30 at 9 p.m., according to Nielsen Media Research data. The one-hour original has now built upon its audience for three consecutive weeks among the key demographics, according to network officials.
With the Aug. 30 installments featuring Gregory Harrison (Lifetime's Maneater, Trapper John, M.D.) and Marla Sokoloff (Maneater, The Practice), averaged a 2.8 household rating, 27% above its season-to-date average, translating into 3.4 million viewers, a 25% increase over its season-to-date average.
Moreover, Lifetime military drama Army Wives continued to show amelioration. Last night's episode garnered a 3.0 against women 25 to 54, its best performance season to date and 20% above its third-season average. Among women 18 to 49, Army Wives delivered a 2.4 rating, a 9% season-to-date increase and a 3.5 rating among households, a 17% increase versus season-to-date averages.
All told, Army Wives marched before almost 4.2 million viewers, 14% above its season-to-date average increase, according to Nielsen data.
