Livestation adds Press TV; streams BBC World to iPhone

The online video web portal Livestation has added the Iranian channel Press TV joins on the day of a live Presidential debate. Livestation has also announced it will stream BBC World News to users of iPhones.

Last night, Wednesday June 3, Livestation started to carry Press TV with the live Iranian presidential debate between the incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his challenger in the forthcoming election, the former PM Mir-Hossein Mousavi. The channel is available on the web portal as well as in better quality on the Livestation Player.

BBC World News today (June 4) announced the launch of the BBC World News app, allowing users of the iPhone and iPod Touch in 16 European countries to watch the channel live on their Apple devices over Wi-Fi and 3G networks.

BBC World News is available to viewers in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
In order to access the service people need to download the special app from the iPhone App Store at a cost of 7.99. The BBCs mobile news site is also included in the App.

The launch will be supported by a series of on-screen activity on BBC World News, as well as advertising on Livestations website.
