Sky and BT in scrap over adverts
It seems that once again an advert run by Sky Broadband has fallen foul of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), and once again the advert has been banned.
The adverts in question cover satellite TV, broadband and phone bundles.
According to the ASA, some of the claims made by Sky could be misleading and therefore the ads cannot be run anymore.
One of the problems with the advertising was that price being promoted by Sky for its satellite TV packages was due to be increased soon after the marketing campaign finished, meaning that subscribers would be paying more than anticipated.
A second complaint came from phone rival BT.
The issue in this case was the claim that customers would be able to cut their phone bills in half by switching to the Sky service
