Slovakia’s Telecom Office (TUSR) has published the conclusions of a public debate on the digital dividend in the country.
They include the view that mobile multimedia will be one of the biggest benefits of the digitization of TV broadcasting, though adding at the same time that it is still unclear as to what technology – DVB-T, DVB-H or T DMB – would be most suitable for Slovakia.
They also say that it is essential to monitor the issue of the digital dividend at European level and to analyse any recommendations made by the Commission from Slovakia’s perspective.
Furthermore, participants in the debate called for the creation of an official source of information, such as a web portal, to address the issue of the dividend.
