13:00pm Harriet Craig 1950
Joan Crawford stars as a selfish, meticulous housewife who cares far more about her house and possessions than she does about the people in her life — including her husband, whom she routinely deceives and manipulates. However, her meddling in her cousin's love life has disastrous consequences. Also starring Wendell Corey and Allyn Joslyn
14:45pm Operation Amsterdam (PG) 1958
A stiff-upper-lipped British Army officer engages in a spot of larceny, but it's all to aid the war effort. Ordered to Amsterdam, he joins forces with two cunning Dutchmen and steals a secret cache of diamonds from a bank vault, thus preventing them falling into the hands of the Nazis. But German soldiers look set to thwart the plan. Energetic World War Two adventure, starring Peter Finch, Tony Britton and Eva Bartok (888)
16:50pm The Apartment (PG) 1960
Comedy drama starring Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine, which garnered best picture and the best director Oscars for Billy Wilder. Lemmon plays a lonely insurance clerk, who rents out his flat to executives for their romantic liaisons, but then finds one of them has set his sights on his girl (MacLaine). (listings supplied by Satdude please do not copy and paste or you may find they are withdrawn)The film is on the long side, but it fizzes along nicely
19:15pm The Beverly Hillbillies (PG) 1993
Painfully unfunny big-screen version of the Sixties TV comedy series, about a family of country bumpkins who strike it rich and move to a plush Los Angeles suburb. However, the locals greet their new neighbours with dismay. Starring Erika Eleniak, Jim Varney, Cloris Leachman, Lily Tomlin and Dabney Coleman, and featuring a cameo appearance by Dolly Parton (888)
21:00pm Charlotte Gray (15) 2001
World War Two thriller adapted from Sebastian Faulks' best-selling novel, chronicling the journey of an unassuming woman who becomes a spy and infiltrates occupied France in an effort to locate her pilot lover, who was shot down. Cate Blanchett is on fine form in the lead, and strong support comes from Billy Crudup, Rupert Penry-Jones and Michael Gambon, but ultimately the film fails to convince, and fans of the book may be left bemused (888)
23:15pm Withnail and I (15) 1987
Superb, inspired comedy boasting a devoted fan base. It follows the misadventures of two unemployed, drug-addled and alcohol-sodden actors who flee their seedy London flat and embark on a disastrous holiday in the Lake District. Richard E Grant and Paul McGann star in the title roles, with Richard Griffiths as Withnail's outrageous Uncle Monty and Ralph Brown as Danny the dealer. Written and directed by Bruce Robinson (888)
01:20am Whisky (15) 2004
Charming comedy drama starring Andres Pazos as the struggling owner of a sock factory, who is shocked to learn his estranged brother is planning to pay him a visit. In a bid to appear as successful as possible, he persuades his assistant to pose as his wife. With Mirella Pascual and Jorge Bolani
