Hi guys

i am using the following setup

TM9100s with edg 4.2 with cccam 2.0.9 and various c line clients (paid for did this before finding this site)

i want to setup a cardsharing server myself which i know i need to do the following:- create a static ip address not a problem read and read about on this forum, i want to be on 24/7 and be part of fth server (which requires you to be on 24/7) so i will need a card looking at getting jstv as local.

Now the questions
1) if i want others to be on my server 24/7 do i need to be on the 13e position for them to recieve jstv all the time or pointing my dish elsewhere will still give them access whilst i am watching lets say digitalb on 16e?

2) does my tm9100s need to be turned on all the time so they get 24/7 connection or if the box is in standby can the still access the my server?

thank you for you time

Chojin

1. the satellite receiver does the sharing, NOT the dish itself..
2. usually the sharing still goes on in standby mode..

+ 5000 channels to watch, and still nothin' on TV...
- Server 24/7/365 - Wanted.. ziggo 5555.. Share - pm me ! - CCcam -

CCcam info in u'r ODS skin ?!
Start cardsharing with CCcam ?!
Control u'r TV with DreamRemote ?!

I have a silly question. Do both boxes require a satelite or is it only the server reciever that is required.

Let say i have a receiver downstairs that is the server. I want to share it to a client receiver upstairs. You are saying that i would need 2 satelites connected to both boxes.....dont like the idea of 2 satelites outside my house :(

If You use 1 box at the time, only 1 dish is needed.
If You want to use both boxes simultaneously, and You have a fixed dish, You can do with 1 dish with twin LNB.
If You use motorized dish, You'll need 2 dishes for independence.
