there are 2 options :

SSSP, Serial Sharing Protocol , you can connect you tm6800 with a nulmodem cable onto your dreambox.
LINKEY( it is like a device which is inserted into yr Smartcard Slot and can be connected towards the internet, support for CC cam & Gbox, etc ...)

2x Local, Tvvl Tlsat / DM7020HD / DM500HD

I'm also a TM6800HD user and also new to this cardsharing. Here are my thoughts. Hopefully you two are wondering the same things about this null-modem to TM setup and you don't think I'm hijacking:

1. Why would we need/want to connect our TM6800s to a linux box? I imagined that the linux box would simply replace the TM box? From what I can gather a (dream)box is a satellite receiver in itself.

2. Is it that you have an option to just use the linux box as a "dummy" box solely for the cardsharing and then forward the codes to the TM... thus using the TM for everything else (moving the motor, channel lists etc)?

3. If so... is this method effective? Or is it faster/more stable using a single receiver to replace the TM?

4. Is one reason you might use the TM-null modem-dreambox setup so that you can get the cardsharing feature on the TM6800HD without buying an expensive linuxHD replacement?
