It seems to be a very good box, even I managed to set mine up fairly easily after reading up on it on a few forums

I see there are a lot of friends of mine on here who I didnt know were members when I was previously registered on here.

See you cant hide from me guys

you cant compare the 9100 to a dreambox. Support seems nearly already, its out of sync on some channels since day one and its fond of rebooting itself. Im using mine mostly as a upnp server (which doesnt work too good!).

Reboot, reboot, reboot and so many beta firmwares.
Only darkman and his bum pals love it.
LOL
thats compairing a moquito with a fly.
the dreambox is much more developed and supported, and is much longer on the market.
If you choose the correct firm, it works fine. Im using the latest UR011 and runs like a rolex now :)

I have the super and run it as my second box in another room, it works good for that, But I still would not run it as my main box because it does still do the odd reboot and the 16:9 bug is a bit of a pain

a fair enough point but in its defence it is still a very young box and the support it has gained in such a short time is verging on fanatical :)

tm9100 any good.. - 24-February-2008, 17:12

I had me tm9100 for 3 weeks now..I have been very pleased with me box...

It took me about 8hours to set up from start to finish..(no previous experence of putting images on me box...I run satlinux 20 14..ur10beta 2 mgcard cam...

It takes plenty of reading, and a few errors, but I got there in the end..

hi everyone,
i have had the box for 4 months now and i was totally new to linux and i inherited it from my dad.
i got it as he was going to bin it (he loves his dreambox and his abcom box)
i have flashed it with ur 12 and i must say it has been really good this image has given the box a new leash of life as previously i had ur 10 beta2 and that was a pain as my vbox wouldnt communicate with the box and it would freeze.
but this new image has rectified all that and i hope future releases get better and better.
