Anyone here have a VU+ Solo? - 29-July-2010, 08:00

Looking at buying another HD receiver. Been looking at the VU+ Solo. Only thing holding me back is that only VTI produce images for it. Dont really want a clone 800, the TM800 is very buggy. Also read that the DM500HD has some bugs.

Anyone got a VU+ Solo and able to say what its like?

I've vu+duo for more than 6 months now, superb box, i think this box is, together with DM8000HD, the best out there.
If you go to web control page > extras > device info it will say on devicename: dm8000, so for half the price of DM8000 i wouldn't think twice if i was you...

Cheers

to add to the list of happy vu+ duo users, add my name :)

obviously you will save a few by buying the solo, but trust me, get the duo and you have a faster box, with more memory, and (imo) a better looking box
furthermore, if you ever want to upgrade to "sky+ hd" like box (i.e 2 inputs), then you can!!

Hello,

I have a VU+Duo and there is only one word to describe this equipment: superb!

Now it costs even less than a DM8000. Here in PT you can find them for 350€! I have two now. One is working with a motorized dish and the other it has a dish pointed to 30W (soon to be motorized too). It works flawlessly!

I truly recommend this equipment!

Regards,
GSYS

I have the VU+ Duo and agree with all the other posts, this is one good box. Be good if eurocardsharing would give it its own forum.

VU+ Duo 2 on 70mb high speed fibre internet.

Defo do NOT buy a solo.. For the sake of 80.00.. you must buy the Duo..

You will not regret it.. as its the best receiver on the market at the moment by far..

And total value for money..
