Blade BM7000 Compatability issue - 08-November-2010, 22:47

Hi

I have just received my Blade bm7000 box today. However i have one problem and i wonder if anyone else is getting the same issue? When i conntect box via HDMI to my panasonic S20 46" plasma, I get no picture. Have tried all 3 hdmi ports and it doesnt work...my playstation and dvd player work fine of the hdmi on tv...just not this blade box????

I then pulled out my 26" lcd samsung Tv and that didnt work either...The AV settings are awful on the box, hardly any options....anyway I changed 1080p to 1080i and that seemd to work for the samsung tv, but not the main panasonic plasma...tried 720 but to no avail?

Have I got a duff box? or a incompatible panasonic plasma S20 (which is only a couple of months old) ??

I noticed the scrambled channels also take a while to come on compared to the FTa ones....and at some point today all scrambled channels were down for almost 2 hours!!!!

that probally a question for the manufacturer..of the plasma..

i know on my toshiba / 8k---> when i make any video changes...

i must disconnect & replace hdmi cable while..both box and tv are running...

Ive tried everything...and just cant figure it out...
dont know if the box has been flashed incorrectly..and may need reflashing? or its a genuine problem...The panasonic S20 and G20's are very popular models...i'm hoping someone else has this setup and can prove it works

Just found the problem, and it appears to be accross all all panasonic plasmas. Tried box on a friends panasonic 3d Tv..it has 4 ports....tried all of them and then in the end had one port left (hdmi 3) and after around 5 secs hey presto it worked.....I took the box back and tried it on my tv which has 3 ports...and on hdmi 2...hey it decided to work.
I can conclude only 1 hdmi port for whatever reason will allow the blade box to work on the new generation panasonic plasmas. Its the most bizzare thing i have ever known!!!
on the plus side, whilst at my mates house and testing it on his 3d tv...the sly 3d channel was awesome !

Another pointer is...this box is really good quality and easy to use..my friend had the dm800 hd box with the ldap tuner or something...have to say that box's picture was awesome compared to the blade....even though blade is awesome...there was a little more sharpness on that particular dm800 model
