in terms of support, nothing can beat the dreambox as of now.
In terms of functionality and features, it all depends what you are looking for and how much testing and searching you are capable of doing on your own (because if you opt for the qbox, you will be very alone in troubleshooting your problems)

have a Qbox one and Hampster is correct in saying that nothing beats the Dreambox support, otherwise the Qbox seems better in the hardware department

zach thanks, I like hacking and where there are problems I like to solve them if I say that the QBOX is better from the point of view hw ... means that I will be guinea pig .... means that something that is marketed the QBOX HD

If QBOX HD works (with all the features)... my advice is that Dream will be out or we will see "special offers" (lower prices).

The DM8000 price is "out of the market"

PS: waiting to read the 1sth commets (real test) about QBOX HD (Satellite, TDT, PVR, Play DivX... looks great).....

i dont think the qbox HD is being sold at the moment,
without any surprise, like Dreamboxes, they are constantly delaying release dates....

Its sold now, i've seen the official duolabs online shop and it is available. The thing is, which emus will it support...
