There are too many variables to give you an answer: However alot will depend on>
  • Your ISP upload speed
    Your ISP download speed
What you use your internet connection for outside of CS
    The local card you have
Wether you share to hop3 or only locals
The Ping times to your peers
    Wether you filter your lines
    ETC ETC ETC

But if you have a good internet speed and run a tight server you should achieve around 30 without problems.

Which in your opion is the most critical when it comes to cccam actually freezing and needing a reboot i run two eagle boxes and my peers have relatively good pings i have just purchased a technomate 9100 hoping it will resolve my freeze issue

Are you getting the freezing ? or them ?

If you get the freeze then changing your box will not help.

If they get the freezing then changing your box my help.

Tell us a little more.... which encryption system or systems? Is it you card? Have your peers overclocked their cards? etc

[email protected] cards for example are prone to freezing when overloaded . As a rule maybe an idea to give nds cards special treatment and restrict your share with peers to ( 0:0:1 ) Also with [email protected] you could try running in newcs as it generally improves response on the card. If in cccam try clock speed at 6.8mhz. If you are giving your peers say { 0:0:3 } on any card you have a cascade effect . For example : -

your server shares to 10 peers and all peers have 2 furthur reshares on your card

So so far your card has 10 shares workload when all pulling on card.

Your ten peers then all have 10 peers of their own who all see your card. So now your card is being seen by approximately 100 boxes . If they all then pulled from your card it would no doubt be overloaded.

So in essence a cascade effect is presented.

hope this may help clarify a little as to how much share to give to a local card

Card - 29-August-2009, 08:13

My card is digalb supersport ( conax ) . What is the best filter to clamp this card to my immediate peers and where do i insert it ( ie in sent cline or can it be added to existing c or f lines in my cccam.cfg ) What does the clock change do and where and how can this be done.( p.s. my freeze issue is i go offline to all peers )

Many Thanks
