Try put a fresh image via null modem cable and using flash tools .
1.receiver out of power ,
2.press and hold power button and putt receiver on power
3.when "serial" appears on your screen open flash tools ,browse the image file from your pc and when you are ready put the ok button on your remote to start flashing with new image.
4.When its done press power on your remote to reboot the receiver .
5.Dont panic !!!

Bye

Pulling power from an electronic device which uses memory is always risky.
I damaged my flash multiple times :)
Flashing with a null modem cable (rs-232) is a way of flashing which should always work.
