Hi,
I have a octagon sf918 receiver and am trying to connect to servers, have all the setup in server setup and network setup on the receiver, but cannot get any card info, I understand that I have to forward ports on the router, have tried setting the router up. still no joy. I have a speedtouch 585 with O2. Have tried turning the firewall off. Any help would be great.

cheers judster

M8 you do not need toport forward in router if you are connecting to cards.

You only port forward if people are connecting to your card/s.

Make sure 918 as a static ip and its setup right.

You can test this by going to your pc and click start then click run then type cmd
a black box will appear in here type

ping ip of 918

ie

ping 192.168.0.110

192.168.0.110 bring ip of 918

if you get no response then bingo there is your problem.

if you get response then its something else needs looking at.

In server window (where you provided your server info..IP, Login , psw) press RED button (Info about ports)t, than once again RED button "update port"..
Left Meniu...on any chanell that you will share, press X+ button and select right Caid, press OK ..thats all.
