VU+ duo / dm500hd cccam Maximum peers - 26-April-2010, 16:36

Hi everyone, I have been using my old tm9101 as a server for a long time because it is more stable than my dm800hd or dm500 with many peers. What I really need to know asap is how many peers can the vu+ duo handle before it starts to crash/disconnect.

I really need to know this because its an expensive receiver for me. Therefore if i buy it, it will have to last a few years.

My alternative option is the DM500HD. I really like the 500hd because its small and i would be supporting DMM who started all this but the vu+ is much better value. If someone has the 500hd how stable is that?

I have the vu+ duo. I tested it as server, and the receiver can handle my 130 peers, but cccam needs a few minutes to stand up. Sometimes enigma2 slowing down or freezing for 1-2 minutes with these large number of peers...
Now im using my old dm7020 for server and its more stable. I think its better to use a cheap enigma1 receiver or pc for server. The mips version of cccam is not good with many peers.

ps: sorry for my bad english...

Just wonder why you have so many peers try for quality instead of quantity i only have on average 25 peers and can clear everything worth seeing

Hi, I ended up buying the VU. There are problems with it so I hope I didnt make the wrong choice but Im using it as a client and my technomate is still a good server.

The VU is new so images need to be improved. One thing I miss is the small size of the Dreambox 500. The VU is a large receiver.
