Is it just me or has it become impossible to send pm's using Firefox? I always receive an error: "both subject and message fields must be filled in" which of course they are. Using other browsers works fine.

I couldn't post this message as well, this time with a different error message: "the message was too short, it has to be at least 10 characters long".

Does anyone have a clue what setting in Firefox might be responsible?

No problems here

Just sent a few PM's and posted this message without any errors popping up

Firefox v43 is out now

Sometimes an uninstall and re-install solves the problem
