cccam 64bit and preload issues - 13-August-2010, 16:17

I had take a lot of time to vind a solution for the 64bit Preload issue. I wil start from the point that you have a working kaffeine, kaffeinecccamplugin en CCcam.x86_64 system. with a manual commandline starting of CCcam. -> $LD_PRELOAD=./ca.so ./CCcam.x86_64 -d &
I have a kubuntu 9.04 64 bit on a AMD64 quadcore with kaffeine 0.88 KDE4 and a Hauppauge DVB2S Card.

Fore home use i want to avoid that the other members of the house had to due commandline task. Also I wanted cron to start and stop cccam in the night. To avoid cccam hickups.

With the simple scrips below your system kan automatically startup and the other home user only have to startup kaffeine. Also cccam wil stop and start every night just over 3 a clock. Also is a manual start stop possible in usermode with /etc/init.d/cccam.sh start/stop

My cccam start stop script in /etc/init.d/cccam.sh ( root mode )
#!/bin/bash
case "$1" in
start)
touch /home/user/CCcam.log && chmod 777 /home/user/CCcam.log
LD_PRELOAD=/var/bin/ca.so /var/bin/CCcam.x86_64 -d -C /var/etc/CCcam.cfg > /home/user/CCcam.log &
;;
stop)
killall -9 CCcam.x86_64
;;
*)
echo "Usage: $SCRIPTNAME {start|stop}" >&2
exit 3
;;
esac

Dont forget chmod 555 on cccam.sh

In user mode
my KDE4 auto startup script.
/home/user/.kde/Autostart/cccamstarter

This is easily to make with Conquror. But i think that with a; touch /home/.kde/Autostart/cccamstarter and a copy/past in the tekst above and chmod 555 on cccamstarter wil do the trick.

activate cron (root mode:)
Edit /etc/crontab with and be shure that the cron demon is running.
# /etc/crontab: system-wide crontab
#
SHELL=/bin/sh
PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
#
# m h dom mon dow user command
1 3 * * * user /etc/init.d/cccam.sh stop
4 3 * * * user /etc/init.d/cccam.sh start
#
