help needed: vdr-sc-sasc-mythtv-multiple dvb cards - 10-August-2009, 22:59

I have 3 dvb cards in ubuntu 8.10.
CCcam installed with DVB-API: -1 in non-chroot, we'll call this the server and 3 x chroot'd CCcam connected as clients. Only chroot'd CCcams use the preload.
I've got sasc from the contrib folder in vdr-sc with cardclient.conf line

Code:
cccam:127.0.0.1:9000:0/0000/0000:/var/emu/chroot%d/tmp/camd.socket
I also have a dreambox. This connects no problem but the other chrooted clients will always show up as clients but never as active clients.

Can anybody give me some advice to troubleshoot this please.

Anybody? I've read loads of threads here but I'm not making progress.

Here is the output from one of the chrooted cccams
Code:
bash-3.2# gcc -march=pentium -mmmx -fomit-frame-pointer -fexpensive-optimizations -funroll-loops -fPIC -shared -o ca.so ca.c -ldl
bash-3.2#
bash-3.2# LD_PRELOAD=./ca.so ; export LD_PRELOAD
bash-3.2# ./CCcam.x86 -dv

mythtv open-sasc-ng newcs multiple adapters help needed - 15-September-2009, 09:40

Hi

Im trying to get allmost the same setup running except im not using ccam

I had succes with getting mythtv up and running with open-sasc-ng, newcs and single adapter.

I have now added two extra dvb adapters and start sasc-ng with this command:
- sudo insmod dvbloopback.ko num_adapters=3
- sudo ./sasc-ng -j 0:3 -j 1:4 -j 2:5
It gives me 3 virtual adapters (3,4 and 5) I can scan for channels on each of them in both mythtv and kaffeine but cant get any pictures not even from FTA channels.

I suspect that it is my newcs, which by the way is running on the same machine, that it causing the problem, but I am not sure of this.

Any help will be appreciated.

Sperwer

most likly has nothing to do with newcs if it is not working on FTA channels. seems like sasc is broken. try the sasc version shipped with the vdr-sc hg source. u will find it in the contrib folder. BTW make the scripts executable! (chmod +x) also for the perl config of the loopback device!
