[HELP] VDR 1.7.18, SkyStar 1, CCcam 2.2.1, VDR-SC plugin - 22-November-2011, 12:22

Hello,

For the past week i have been reading and trying to manage to make my VDR work with my CCcam server with my FF card skystar 1. I know its a old card but its the only one i have atm to work with.

I have manage to have VDR running with CCcam 2.2.1 using a cccam2 line. But since vdr.sc plugin only connects to one server at a time i will like to follow the camd.socket way.

I copy the file cccam_ca.c located at /usr/local/src/vdr/PLUGINS/src/sc/contrib/ to my emu directory /emu/cccam/ca.c. From there i can compile the module using the command

gcc -O -fbuiltin -fomit-frame-pointer -fPIC -shared -o ca.so ca.c -ldl

Then i can load it and run CCcam.x86 using the command LD_PRELOAD=/emu/cccam/ca.so ; export LD_PRELOAD ; ./CCcam.x86 -d -v -C /var/etc/CCcam.cfg

On my console i get the following
Code:
10:19:39.648 CCcam: ======================================================================
10:19:39.648 CCcam: starting CCcam 2.2.1 compiled on Nov 21 [email protected]:35:58

10:19:39.683 CCcam: server started on port 12000
10:19:40.501 CCcam: no working cam devices, no need to start pmthandler
and on my syslog i get
Code:

My card is a FF card so in the /dev/dvb/adapter0 i have a ca0 file. This card is running with a firmware that i patch with the diff - dvb-ttpci-fc2624.bsdiff /usr/local/src/vdr/PLUGINS/src/sc/patches. I have run md5sum before and after the patch and according to the checksum on dvb-ttpci-README the file is patched correctly. The firmware loads without any problem and as i said i can open channels via a cccam2 line.

The problem starts when i run runvdr, i get the following message from cccam plugin.
Code:
Nov 22 11:09:45.118 [cardclient.core] cc-loop
Nov 22 11:09:45.119 [cardclient.core] now trying client cccam (localhost:9000)
Nov 22 11:09:45.119 [cardclient.cccam] cannot handle DVB adapter -1, frontend -1
Nov 22 11:09:45.119 [cardclient.core] client cccam (localhost:9000) ECM failed (0 ms)
I have tried to run sc plugin with the -B 1 and so on but the same message is always displayed.

In my cardclient.conf i have only this line
Code:
cccam:localhost:9000:0/0000/0000:/tmp/camd.socket
I'm doing something wrong? Anyone has some idea what is wrong?

Thanks in advanced for your reply.

After digging a bit more i made a small chance on the vdr-sc ./sc/systems/cardclient/cccam.c

Code:
  if(ecm->dvbAdapter<0 || ecm->dvbFrontend!=0) {
    PRINTF(L_CC_CCCAM,"cannot handle DVB adapter %d, frontend %d",ecm->dvbAdapt$
    //return false;
    }
  //int cardnum=ecm->dvbAdapter;
        int cardnum=1;
Changing the cardnum to 0 or 1 allows me to test the connection between the vdr-sc plugin and the CCcam.x86 and i get the following:

CCcam.x86
Code:
20:05:20.007 CCcam: remote ecm -> xxxxx.dyndns.org:10000 0xbbbbb(0x000)
20:05:24.042 CCcam: remote ecm <- xxxxxx.dyndns.org:10000 error
20:05:24.042 CCcam: remote ecm -> xxxxxx.dyndns.org:11000 0xbbbbb(0x000)
20:05:25.911 CCcam: found nagra caid: 0xXXXX ecmpid: 0xXXX id: 0x0
20:05:25.911 CCcam: ignore equal capmt version for device 0
20:05:26.537 CCcam: remote ecm <- xxxxx.dyndns.org:11000 ok
20:05:26.587 CCcam: cam[0] ecm even ok caid:0xbbbbb id:0x0 pid:0xbbbb

20:05:32.042 CCcam: cam[0] set PMT for sid=yyyy
And my VDR

Code:
Nov 22 20:05:32.042 [cardclient.core] cc-loop
Nov 22 20:05:32.042 [cardclient.core] now trying client cccam (127.0.0.1:9000)
Nov 22 20:05:32.042 [cardclient.cccam] cannot handle DVB adapter -1, frontend -1
Nov 22 20:05:32.042 [cardclient.cccam] 1: sending capmts for pid BBBB

Nov 22 20:05:32.042 [cardclient.cccam] 0020: 04 xx 02 xx xx 01 0f 01 00 xx
Nov 22 20:05:32.042 [cardclient.cccam] 1: using camd socket '/tmp/camd.socket'
Nov 22 20:05:32.042 [cardclient.cccam] 1: opened camd socket
Nov 22 20:05:36.544 [cardclient.cccam] got: XXXXf  10 40 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 06 0b ea fb 2b db
Nov 22 20:05:38.042 [cardclient.cccam] 1: getting CW timedout, re-writing CAPMT
Nov 22 20:05:44.042 [cardclient.cccam] 1: getting CW timedout again, failed ECM
So from this i think my connection between vdr-sc and CCcam.x86 is working correctly. But somethig is wrong on my vdr or vdr-sc, since i cant grab the dvb card to decode as we can see on the line cannot handle DVB adapter -1, frontend -1.

POST CLOSED

I stopped trying with my Skystar 1, just received my new TBS6981. By only running vdr-1.7.21 and vdr-sc everything work out of the box, no more freezes. For now will connect to the cccam server without camd.socket using a cccam 2 line.

Vdr-sc plugin is a bit old so i moved to Oscam with dvbapi plugin for vdr. You can find more on the oscam forum
http://www.oscam.to/wbb3/index.php?p...9083#post89083

In there you can also find a small modification i made to make vdr + dvbapi + dvbapi_ca.so + oscam work with multiple frontends. Works great no more errors on the image or freezes.

Have fun.
